Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Third Free Story Update
This release also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery."
