Dean Henderson Had little to do to make during the opening 45 until forced to intervene by an opponent's bent shot. His sliding intervention against Qazim Laci showed sharp reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined against Albania’s main danger in their forward. Operated through the middle early on later drifted wider after Saka came on. 7/10

John Stones Pushed forward when in possession, a familiar role before. Sometimes seemed hesitant on the ball with the experiment was shelved at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A constant threat at set pieces, as always, but may be another option for Stones in defense rather than paired with him. One wayward distribution later in the match nearly resulted in a goal for the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly Another confident showing from the rising star after his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of an exquisite touch over the Albania defence. His position is his to lose at this stage. Seven

The newcomer His maiden beginning for his country. Slightly loose on the ball though his inswinging deliveries caused problems. A useful pace-controller available to the coach to utilize against sides that sit back. Cautioned for a poorly timed challenge. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from dead balls and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed room to move on the left only to be offside as the pass came in shooting positions. Awarded a deserved break after an hour. Six

The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced position down the right and contributed with dirty work. Showed glimpses of brilliance but dragged a shot over. Withdrawn late on for Rogers, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's top opening in the opening period, his shot smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. As Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The first a classic poacher’s finish and the second a classy headed goal following a clever run away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and the side have every chance in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact from the left. Had a presentable chance when set up by the midfielder however Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of effect when substituted. Five
